Faye Hughes is a Mississippi native who traded moonpies, Ole Miss football games and the smell of magnolia blossoms in the springtime for the pristine beauty of upstate New York’s picture-postcard-perfect four seasons. She only regrets the decision in the winter when pranksters steal her snow shovel and the snowbanks creep to her second floor bedroom window.
Faye wrote her first novel when she was nine. In retrospect, it was a pitiful thing and she’s glad her aunt tossed it out with the rest of the rubbish a couple of decades ago. But Faye never lost her desire to create stories, and she’s been writing them ever since. She’s the author of seven award-winning novels of romantic fiction, several freelance non-fiction articles and two non-fiction books, including The Everything Guide to Writing a Romance Novel.
She’s been published by Bantam, Kensington and Adams Media, just to name a few; and two of her romance novels were optioned for TV movies. Recently, she learned that Love and War, an out-of-print light contemporary romance published in the late 1990s, will be released in Japan as manga format.
Together with her non-fiction writing partner Christie Craig, Faye has published two romance novel-themed books. Their latest book is Wild, Wicked & Wanton: 101 Ways to Love Like You’re in a Romance Novel. (And, yes, a real woman can learn a lot about men and relationships from romance novel heroines!)
